Pride Month: Inclusive Weddings Flowers with Bohotany

As Pride Month draws to a close, I wanted to share something that is very close to my heart and at the core of Bohotany.

Whilst Bohotany has always been committed to creating a welcoming space for all couples, planning my own wedding as part of the LGBTQ+ community has given me a new perspective on just how important that really is.
The wedding industry has come a long way, but finding suppliers who genuinely feel aligned with your values can still be challenging. Often it’s not anything overt. Sometimes it’s the language used on a website, the imagery being shared or simply not seeing relationships like yours represented.
When you’re planning such a personal celebration, those things matter.
We want every couple who gets in touch to feel comfortable being completely themselves. No assumptions, no judgement and no expectation that your wedding should fit a particular mould.
Creating beautiful flowers is only part of what we do. Creating a positive experience throughout the planning process is just as important.
One resource I’ve loved whilst planning my own wedding is the Rebel Love Directory. It’s a brilliant platform that connects couples with inclusive wedding suppliers across the UK, and we’re incredibly proud to now be part of it. I’m excited to share some of our favourite LGBTQ+ owned businesses and wonderful allies below who are helping make the wedding industry a more inclusive place for everyone.
For couples searching for suppliers, I’d encourage you to look beyond a portfolio and ask yourself a simple question: Do these people feel like my people? The best supplier relationships are built on trust, understanding and shared excitement for your day.
Because at the end of the day, every love story deserves to be celebrated exactly as it is.
With love and flowery stuff,
Candice x
